Should I get in touch with my old primary school 10 years after leaving?

It's something I've been thinking about and I keep chickening out and putting it off. I found my old reading record booklet (it's about 17/18 years old) and it made me wonder if I should contact them and maybe visit? I'm wondering if it's a good idea. I've come a long way since leaving primary school, I never imagined I would one day go to university (I graduated recently). If it is a good idea what's the best way to contact them?

Update:

I would like to go back to see if the same teachers are still there and remember me. It would be nice to see how the school has changed. I just have good memories of being at primary school.
