I remember printing out American Pie guitar tabs on AOL, after locking my 15 year old self in the den to whack off to Britney Spears Rolling Stone cover, then selling the prints for $5 each at school. I thought I could never play it. For guitar people, you know its a pretty easy G progression.

You have been "playing" for 15 years. That's all that extra training in simply moving your own body. Many of us middle class cube monkeys might find it shocking in rec dance class we have as little control over our toes as Uma in Kill BIll. Anything you do over time becomes your "training" tangibly building new wiring to the limb from the spine and brain.

I see these kids, flopping around like fish. He did and didn't use his pecs. He got 12% out of the movement between wobbles and shakes. Unless you're tied down for those years, you gain some control over the next 15 years, meaning you finally actually use the muscle you intended. Until now, you've been getting those buns of steel from your bicep curl.

By approximately 30 years of age, you hormones should have evened or balanced out which provides a more even amount of the same on a regular basis. Your body can then better utilize the same so as to be enabled to develop muscle mass in a more effective and efficient manner than when you were younger.

Your mental focus during your exercise or training session should be better now than when you were younger. Such might be enabling you to perform more intense workouts.

You may have learned a thing or two about proper exercise form and the application of the same may be leading to better development.

You may be eating better, with a more balanced diet than you consumed when you were younger.

You may be sleeping better now, allow for fuller recovery, than you did when you were younger.

As you can see, there are a lot of possible variables that could be involved and only you, by keen and accurate observation, will know which of them applies and which do not.
