download cd video to laptop?
i have a video on a CD, it's not damaged and i can play it fine, i want to download the video from the CD onto my laptop without erasing it off the original cd, how can i do this?

if this is a commercial video, you can't. they use special encoding to prevent copying

Look at the CD files with File Explorer (windows explorer) and see what type of file is on the CD.
If it is a MP4 Just COPY it to your PC Video Folder.
If it is two files video and audio then you can use a free program called MAKE MKV to copy the video.

Well you wouldn't even be able to erase it from the CD since it is most likely a CD ROM (Which stands for Read Only Memory).
You can try dragging and dropping the video file from your CD to your Desktop or other folder you want. That is assuming that it's not a video on a DVD. If it is on a DVD and is saved as a DVD movie, you will need to 'rip' the DVD first.
