Are violent video games and movies part of our society's sickness?
We see mass killings pretty often and I'm not talking about terrorists, these are our own "home grown" people.
Do you feel that exposure to these things might drive some people away from reality and place them into a scenario where they are playing a part?
How much of this kind of stuff is healthy?
If you are a parent, do you allow your kids to see these movies or play games like this? At what age?

Violent video games are extremely unhealthy and they acclimatise people to violence. Some mass murderers have been reported to have played violent games before committing their crimes.
Tv advertisers know how easy it is to manipulate the mind the believe something is good, which is why showing a soft drink on tv countless times will persuade people to drink it. In the same way killing on a screen becomes easier in real life. THis is why video games are used for military training.

No violent video's are no different than playing cops and robbers, the real sickness is that life isn't held sacred from Abortion to drive by shooting and instead of finding solutions the left politicize everything from the media to congress. We have people that so rely upon the government that they don't know how to be independent from government and yet socialize with their communities. Where the video games are a sickness that kids isolate themselves from playing outdoors to joining groups like the Boy Scouts. Some kids want the X-Box but not the batters Box

No it is the lack of governmental control over the sale of guns.
Every where in the world people get pissed off with each other and it ends up in conflict.
Here in the UK people fall out every day just as they do in America. Guns are for the most part controlled here so if people get violent it usually means they have a good old fashioned fist fight.
At the end of the day they might put someone in Hospital or maybe even kill them but it is one on one.
Sometimes and increasingly there might be a knife involved but even then it is still only ever a single killing.
No one ever committed mass murder using their fists or a knife, they might get the first person but would be quickly overpowered.
Ignore the idiots from the gun lobby. people do kill other people, that is a fact. WITHOUT GUNS THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KILL AS MANY AS THEY CURRENTLY DO!
