Can someone see you you for taking a screenshot of a conversation and sharing it?
One of my friends was having a conversation with a politician and took a screenshot of his conversation and posted it on Facebook . That politician is now threatening to sue him . I told him not to worry because last time I tried to sue someone my lawyer told me it would cost me more in lawyer fees then the amount I would make . But I want to ease his worries is he in trouble .

Yes, there are many different rights involved, including the right to privacy (where warranted by circumstances) and the author's ownership of the copyright of any original works of authorship, among others. Someone who "shares" a screenshot may be violating the copyright license terms, triggering possible money damages and injunction.

Depends on the conversation. If you friend lied or slandered the politician he can be sued. If it's just a normal conversation there is no lawsuit. However the cost to sue is not that much & if your friend slandered the politician he probably will sue & win.

If he just posted a message that genuinely came from the politician, no law suit is going to work. If he added comments with negative things that aren't true, then he can be sued.

Can’t really soon for slander because it was true. And politicians are public figures so they can’t really sue people

No it’s not illegal because all the politician can do is sue for libel or slander since they are a public servant they can only make $1 from the lawsuit while they are still in office
