I want to remove my libido (temporarily), is this strange?

Earlier I was looking up how to completely remove libido because I don't like or want a relationship for now and taking the time to get rid of any urges I have disgusts me deeply, so it would just be easier if I didn't get them. I didn't really find anything useful, but what I did find was a lot of people saying that this was an odd desire and that the people asking for ways must have had something wrong with them. Is it true? I only want to get rid of any urges I have because 1. They're a distraction, 2. They're disgusting, and 3. They incite thoughts that I am not comfortable with and that I don't need. I don't want to sleep with anyone and I don't want a relationship so these feelings are no use to me right now. Is that weird? Or were these people just being unnecessarily harsh? If it makes a difference I am 19.

I don't know if people were harsh. I don't know how to read whatever people posted.

If you want to remove your libido, consult with a Physician.

Is it an odd request? I don't know. Sex offenders undergo treatment to control/remove their libido, so I know treatment is available.
