Does this mean he is losing interest?

At first one would think, what a nice guy, but then you realizehe he is just hangin in there so he doesn't have to watch you cry, or fall apart.  This doesn't sound good to me!  He is not acting out of love, but out of duty, as if his job is to take care of you.  

i may be wrong. But, to me, it sounds like, he still cares about you as a person but he doesn't feel attracted to you anymore. At least, not as much as he used to be. He may be falling out of love but still doesn't want you feel hurt because he cares about you, at least as a person. It sounds like how it is with many spouses who have been in relationship for a long time. just my opinion

Too any people reading too much into this. Its quite possible he wanted to say something more touching but didn't know which words to use or felt uncomfortable... most men are not Hallmark Card authors

guys generally don't care about anything. we're not girls. we aren't bothered by every single thing in life, only the big stuff,  and if its something we can't fix, we usually stop caring because whats the point of worrying about something you can't change?

We have no idea what he meant by that.  We are not privy to his thoughts nor are we mind readers.�� No crystal balls, no tarot cards....   He must love you to not want to see you cry.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't ever care to be with someone who's not as devoted to me as I am to him. Just let him go and find another.
