Tired of dealing with life?

Ever since the breakup of my six year engagement I haven't been happy. Everyone says that you get over it in time, but it's been six years, and it still hurts just as bad. Before I met her, nobody cared about me, and for the last six years, I've been feeling it again. I have a job, my own car, and my own place, but still, people treat me like an outcast. I don't know what I'm living for, or if I even have a reason to keep going. I wonder if there is even any point in trying to fight it anymore. I know there are people who deal with a lot worse in life, but that doesm't make the pain I'm feeling any easier to bear, and I don't think anyone would miss some random straight white guy

If she has been able to move on, you need to too.  If she hasn't moved on, maybe there is a chance to get back together again.

You sound depressed but I'm not a doctor. Are you making an effort to get out and meet people? If you're depressed, I realize it's not easy to do but I promise, if you put yourself out there and treat others kindly, people will be interested in getting to know you. I know this because I was depressed for 2 years and basically incapacitated. My therapist suggested I start moving more. I started running again, slow but sure. I ran a 5k slowly but it really helped because I had to train and I had something to look forward to.  Now I run regularly and I run with friends. I've also met a guy who is a runner too.

My point is, when you do what you like to do you'll feel better. And chances are, you'll meet people who have similar interests. I've lost two relatives to suicide and it's changed my family forever. Please get some help and get involved in your life.
