It is (as usual with the glitch) system wide. Some of the more obscure topics have nothing new for 3 weeks.

Yahoo Answers is Broken. It is overloaded and their servers can't keep up. And they Don't Care.

I've taken to hanging out on Quora. Which has its own set of problems - Limited amount of questions you can answer, same lame questions as on Y!A, an opaque policy changes, and random server shutdown.

But you do run across former astronauts, and other NASA folk. and some fairly decent thinkers too.

There have been plenty, but right at the moment we are in the middle of a bug period in which the questions disappear after a couple of hours.

These bug periods happen a couple of times a year, and last about ten days. The current bug period started on September 10, and should end on September 20.

I suspect that it's a kick-in-the-pants by a programmer who was fired in December 2014 which is when these shenanigans started. The Yahoo Answers staff member who has the Facebook group has been notified.

I visit the 'Astronomy & Space' category daily and I too have noticed that for some reason questions do not appear to be being asked.

I cannot believe this so I must put it down to Yahoo Answers yet again causing problems or failing to resolve issues with its site.

For months now Yahoo Answers has been going down hill and it gives me the impression that they simply don't care for this site any more and are quite happy for it to die.

From the best worldwide Question and Answer site a few years ago Yahoo Answers has become the worst because of the lack of caring for the site and its 1000s of subscribers

I thought there were but maybe the questions were taken down, moved to a different category, or simply lost to void thanks to Yahoo's terrible algorithms and constant glitches.

But then again there may have just not been any questions. Like Carl Sagan said, "We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology."

There are new questions, but Y!A is the most bugged website ever created and it keeps hiding questions from all topics.
