Cat training?

Question

My cat was taught to use the litter box, but now at the age of 8 as of recent couple months, he seems to pee where he pleases now. At first, he just went in the litter box to poop normally, but pee in the very front corner where most just lands on the floor, where we had to get these training pads to put on the floor, he used those a couple times and then goes next to them and pees on the floor again, and now this time, he did it in the kitchen. What's this behavior? He's pooping where he needs to but he pees on the floor so many times next to the box and what seems to be wherever he wants now. (The litter box is massive, even a girl peeing standing up wouldn't miss it.)

Call the vet on Monday, and get him seen Monday if possible.  It is likely he has a urinary tract infection, or crystals in his urine.  Both of those are painful so they pee out of the box.   Vet - Monday.

He probably has a UTI.  Because it has been left for months, it most likely has spread to his bladder or kidneys, and it most likely has bladder or kidney stones.  
He needs to go to the vet.  Expect blood work to be done, and an x ray to be sure there are no bladder stones.  Then he needs a prescription medication, minimum.  He might need to stay overnight if the problem is very bad.

And you haven't bothered to get him to a VET?  He probably has some sort of infection or painful urine crystals.  He could DIE if you continue to do NOTHING but clean up after him!  He's TELLING YOU it HURTS to pee!!!!
