Are you afraid that your child will encounter someone who uses or has used the marijuanas at school?

Oh noes, not the marijuanas!!

We all know that legal or not, people are using it. And yeah, people have been caught using a marijuana pen in class, so I can imagine my child encountering that. In fact, my two older kids have encountered it at school (and with my oldest, it was before it was legal here). It isn't even remotely a big deal.

Afraid? No. I know (knew) it is inevitable. So I prepared them both my kids for it.

And if they do, what is the problem? While I would never recommend my kids to use any drug, marijuana is still better then tobacco or being a chronic alcoholic. I know many people who use marijuana from time to time recreationally and these are professional (lawyers, doctors, etc.) There is nothing wrong with them.

Even in places where marijuana use is legal, it is NOT legal to use it at school. So no, can't imagine how my child would have encountered someone using it in the classroom.
