What Turo car owner protection plan do you use and why?
For owners renting their car out to people, do you use Basic, Standard, or Premium and why? What cars do you use it for and does the type of car influence which protection package you use? I'm starting with 1 car and curious about the best direction

Since you are still starting out, this new startup might be able to help you which I stumbled upon on the Facebook group. It's called sharelytics.co
It's a tool they built for Turo owners to assess market viability based on car type. And it grades the market based on Rental Demand, Revenue Growth, Seasonality, Regulation, Investability, to name a few.
They are constantly updating their data and adding new features. I believe they just added a new feature called 'Deal Check' which calculates all the important metrics for vehicle rentals, flips and fleets.
They also have some pretty cool blogs, but this one might be of interest for you. Car type depends on your city/market https://www.sharelytics.co/blog/the-top-performing...

It's not based on the car, it's based on your financial situation:
- remember, your personal car insurance is inactive when someone from Turo is driving your car. So don't take any other insurance information into consideration.
Do you want less income from Turo but have Turo more responsible for damages to the car? Take the premium option.
Do you want more income from Turo but you are responsible for more of the damages to the car out of your own pocket.
For example: Car gets hit by a shopping cart in the target parking lot. That is normal wear & tear.
Under the premium plan = Turo will pay for it
Under the basic plan = Turo doesn't.
