This is an old Republican practice.

It is called the Two Santa Claus Theory.

    Dick Cheney said it best about Republicans when they have the presidency;

    Deficits don't matter!

So when there's a Democrat president to blame the debt on it becomes a political tool to bash the democrats with!

Rap- you're the one pushing propaganda! You're ignoring what Trump and the Republicans tax cut did to the deficit!

my dad put our family in deep debt when he moved us from the failing schools and rising crime in the city and bought a house in an affluent suburb.... because of this, my siblings and I benefited from safe streets, a supportive community and schools with a 98% graduation rate.. we all went on to college and successful careers...

your dad put your family in deep debt to by an Escalade, take cruises to St. Martin and make sure you had every electronic doo-dad your little heart desired....

why are you mad that I don't blame my dad for leaving your family in deep debt with nothing tangible in life?

The one good thing about Trump is that he has shined a bright light on the hypocrisy of the base of the Republican party and its elected officials. It is now clear that they care nothing about the future of this country in supporting increasingly crushing debt, denying climate change, rolling back environmental protection, rolling back consumer protection, ignoring education and putting a twit in charge of it, and failing to improve healthcare.

Trump supporters fall into one or more of three classes:

    1. The rich and super rich that are happy with tax cuts and ways to make money on the backs of working class.

    2. The stupid and gullible that are to lazy to get educated and/or move to get better jobs...instead they want the government to hand them jobs...which Trump has failed to produce.

    3. White supremacists that want to sell the soul of the country because they are afraid that minorities will immigrate into the country and work harder and be more successful (and Trump is working hard to convince #2s that they need to also be #3).

    4. People that outright hate American and its government and that want the most disruptive administration possible to divide our leaders and our people.

CALLER: Republicans can nominate a young, potentially two-term president, one that believes in fiscal conservatism. We’re gonna have-- In 2019, there’s gonna be a $1 trillion dollar deficit. Trump doesn’t really care about that. He’s not really a fiscal conservative. We don't, we have to acknowledge that Trump has been cruelly used.

RUSH LIMBAUGH (HOST): Nobody is a fiscal conservative anymore. All this talk about concern for the deficit and the budget has been bogus for as long as it’s been around.

Even their knob-goblins don't pretend to care anymore.

For the same reason that Democrats complain about things when there is a Republican president but not when there is a Democratic president.

Because the people who choose sides in this tribal system are complete retards and lack the capacity to think for themselves. Too many people only care if their side won, not what is being done or if it is beneficial, just whether THEIR side won.

Because trump is putting the debt to good use in comparison
