Jesus exists and is God. A person can know these things with certainty by way of having true devotion to the Immaculate Heart of the Virgin Mary.

It is my Nature to Love because of Him (but only when my Love for Him comes first).

That worshiping any image of the Almighty God is wrong and Jesus is the image most people worship. Most people can't see that because they believe the churches rather than the Bible.

  • Jesus is not to be worshiped.... all worship and prayer is to be made to God alone

"Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!" (Quran)

I re-read the Bible decades ago, wondering if the Jesus I believed in was far greater than I had been led to believe. I was concerned if that was the case, because I knew Jesus said that "All must honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him." (John 5:23) I knew my beliefs meant I did not honor the Son just as I honoured the Father, obedient worship being the greatest honor we can give. What if I needed to change my views about Christ and worship Him, too?

This concern grew as I delved into the Greek language of the New Testament, regarding Jesus. I discovered that John 1:1-3 proves that Jesus is both with God, and IS God, and is the Creator of all that was made. This logically proves He could not have been made Himself (which is what I thought).

Then I read in Genesis 14:22 that Melchizedek was priest of "God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth" so that if the pre-incarnate Christ was also the one who made everything that was made, that meant He was God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth! Wow! That blew my mind! Other scriptures in Isaiah confirmed this, where God says He made everything by Himself, and that no god came before him or after him, and that He would not share His glory with another, being the only Savior. Yet the Son made everything, is called God, is given the glory He had with the Father before He came to Earth, and is also called the Savior! In Isaiah 43:10, 11 this one Creator God says that he is God, that no deity was formed either before or after him, and that there is no Savior apart from him, nor will He share His glory with another (Isa 42:8), and that He alone created everything (Isa 44:24). Yet the Bible also calls Jesus God (Isa 9:6 & John 1:1) who made everything that was made (John 1:3). And God gives the risen Christ the same glory that He has (John 17:24)! But Jesus is not a different, additional God for He has the same Being (nature) and was never created but always was part of the Godhead.

That got me down on my knees in adoration of the Christ - my Lord and my Savior.

The bible is the one of the greatest atheist makers. If you try to fulfill (what many christians see as) your 1st peter 3:15 obligation to present the strongest possible arguments, then you will have to apply your skepticism and critical thinking to the bible and what it says, instead of fancying yourself a hermeneuticist or a soteriologist.
