nothing, halloween is not even a christian celebration, and i think maybe the bible was written a while before halloween was even started as a celebration.

It says nothing specific, people historically cherry pick verses that sound spooky towards certain behavior and seers who foretell fortunes.... but seers are not evil, as a matter of fact read the story of Samuel.

Nothing. Halloween's origins date back to the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain (pronounced sow-in). The Celts, who lived 2,000 years ago, mostly in the area that is now Ireland, the United Kingdom and northern France, celebrated their new year on November 1.  Any holidays described in the bible are those ripped off from other religions that predate it by thousands of years.

Where I live a minister in the local paper, wrote a very factual historical account of the pagan roots of Halloween.

Showing how unchristian and detestable this celebration is.

Unfortunately he didn't understand what he wrote because to his own question:

"Is it acceptable for a christian to celebrate Halloween?"  He answered yes.

Why? because he said:  "the blood of the lamb cleanses all things"

This minister became guilty of tickling the ears of his flock.

The Bible is very clear, the blood of the Lamb doesn't cleans false religious practices, but cleanses people.

Paul tells us:  "Stop touching the unclean things [including Halloween]."

Nothing, since the Christian celebration of Hallowed Evening didn't begin until long after the Biblical texts were written.

It used to be called "All souls day" But it has been kept since the beginning of time. It was the time the earth was destroyed by the flood and the first time God took actions against the wicked spirit persons. When they came to earth and took on human bodies it was like a costume. They were not human's. They did tricks or cruel things to humans. Billions died in the flood. So Satan is still keeping that day to be celebrated as like we are not afraid of our creator.

Nothing. Even if a festival that later developed into Halloween was practised at that time, then most of the population of the Middle East would have been unaware of it.

As the Bible warns against anything with any connection to demonism, Bible-readers know that what is now called Hallowe'en is, in principle, a satanic event and those who revere God wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole.

The origins of this dark festival go far further back than most people suppose - way earlier than the Celts. You have to go to Hindu texts to find the origins. What many people don't know is that this far more ancient and much more sinister Hindu Halloween starts on September 17 till October, 1. They believe that Hindu ancestors' spirits descend to Earth for 15 days to see their grand and great-grandchildren - but NOT their bones (so no bones in Hindu Halloween)

These 15 days Hindus will not celebrate any auspicious functions - no marriages, engagements, initiation, purchase of property, new house blessing, baby showers, purchase of gold, silver, diamonds. They will pray ONLY to their ancestors. They further believe that when the Hindu ancestors ascend back to heaven the European ancestors descend down to Earth, October 1 to October 31. So there is the run-on from direct paganism to supposedly Christian customs that were an attempt to 'Christianize' what they knew of paganism in Europe, but knowing the more ancient Hindu practices should warn all Christians that it is of the devil.

"The things the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God... You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. Are we trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy? Are we stronger than he is?" 1 Cor 10:20-22

However, for Protestants, 31st of October marks Reformation Day. On that day in 1516, Martin Luther preached a sermon on Hallowe'en (the eve of All Saint's day) where he criticised the pope's claim to be able to deliver souls from purgatory. Luther said if that was true, he could do more for the dead than he could for the living. He criticised purchasing indulgences (the Bingo of the 16th century). A full year later, 31st October 1517, Luther nailed his 95 theses (subjects for debate) on the door of Wittenberg's castle Church. Luther called the Church back to the good news of salvation by grace alone through faith alone – Eph. 2:8-9. He believed the Word of God was the supreme authority for the Christian faith, rather than tradition or papal decrees.

That date marked the Reformation exploding on to the European scene. Not that Protestants vaunt Luther in any way or make a fuss about this historic event. We just bear it thankfully in mind. That is why I, a Reformed Protestant, have nothing to do with Hallowe'en or All Saint's Day or All Souls’ Day, but give thanks to God for the Reformation that started on 31st October 1517.
