What does John 17:3 tell us when considering this part of the prayer Jesus was making to his heavenly Father: 3 This means everlasting life,?
their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ
Verse (3) in most Bibles: And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent.
How are the churches of today coming to know, the only true God, as Jesus said? The latter part of verse 3 Jesus says, and the one whom you sent, referring to himself!
Today every church, save one, only follow part b of John 17:3. Don’t you find this strange especially when you read Matthew 6:9 where in the Lord’s prayer where Jesus says to sanctify, make Holy, God’s name?
So what gives?

As one trinitarian told me.
"I know Jesus is God, so when I read God's word, any scripture that disagrees with this truth MUST be symbolic"
Reading God's word this way, you can make it say anything you want to say.
To prove the trinity with God's word you must:
1. Mistranslate it. John 1:1; 5:58; Col 1:15 (over creation instead of 'of creation')
2. Ignore context, John 1:1, 5:58; Col 1:15 Jesus is not God but the image of God.
3. Change the meaning of words, Firstborn, beginning, only begotten
4. Add words to the text, 1 Jn 5:6,7

You can get fixated on one scripture like the watchtower do.Try
praying and reading 1 Timothy 1 v.17 Now unto the King Eternal
who is Jesus, immortal, invisible, the only wise God.
I can show you many examples showing who Jesus really is.
Jesus is the Truth.Do you Agape Truth.?
To the only { meno, meaning abiding and not single} Wise God
{ AND Jésus-Christ Being included}
If you follow this reasoning, you need to become a student of the
watchtower or Judaism ect. CHRISTIAN = BELIEVERS IN YEHOSHUA.

You then try to use this verse, cherry picking, trying to deny the divinity of Jesus, the Watchtower?
But maybe you can hear? Although doubtful, so brainwashed by WT(Watchtower).
Verse 2
Verse 3
Berean Literal Bible
Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.
And..
Weymouth New Testament
Although from the beginning He had the nature of God He did not reckon His equality with God a treasure to be tightly grasped.
Jesus was given all authority (verse 2) and He confers eternal life.
Only God can do that.
I and My Father are..? Do you know this word ONE?
This group are not saved, and are ..(you'll be appalled) antichrist.
I don't think you want that.
WT kept getting rid of ANY scripture that showed Jesus as God.
Ask yourself WHY?
Wonder if you can?
This is important for you.

1) What does John 17:3 tell us when considering this part of the prayer Jesus was making to his heavenly Father: 3 This means everlasting life,?
Exactly what it says (of course).
If you don't understand it you should consider using a Bible translation that uses an easier reading level...something like the Contemporary English Version.
2) How are the churches of today coming to know, the only true God, as Jesus said?
Yes.
3) The latter part of verse 3 Jesus says, and the one whom you sent, referring to himself!
Again: if you don't understand the passage (and it seems that you do not), you should use an easier-to-read Bible translation. But: maybe you just wrote that statement very poorly (which also suggests poor reading comprehension).
4) Today every church, save one, only follow part b of John 17:3. Don’t you find this strange
Yes.
Apparently you believe that my church is the only church that follows all of John 17:3. I find that extraordinarily strange, but it does give you a good reason to switch to my church.
5) especially when you read Matthew 6:9 where in the Lord’s prayer where Jesus says to sanctify, make Holy, God’s name?
So what gives?
At the very least: poor reading comprehension on your part.
Also likely: near-complete ignorance of the teachings of other churches.
