Christians: what makes God and Jesus real, but Aphrodite and Zeus not? Why are my gods less valid than yours?

Ask this question AFTER doing your research on Christianity and Greek Mythology. There is a reason the word "MYTHOLOGY". I mean, what is this BS of God (Zeus in this case) creating OTHER gods, only to be attracted to the goddesses afterwards and run after them? They are even symbolized by animals. For example Zeus being the Eagle, Hera being the Peacock, Poseidon being Horse, etc. 

Also, we have ONE God, a perfect One. We don't have numerous imperfect ones. Look up Greek Mythology and learn WHY they are considered mythological to begin with.  

technically, and theologically, Zeus never lived on this planet. theologically, the bible new testament says Jesus did LIVE and Breath. the old testament said God could breath life into Adam. while this might be an analogy, it sure describes God as a living being. not a statue, nor a mythology. but didn't Zeus die at the end of the movie? the old saying that Gods don't die, is a mythos, or is it?

This is a hard question to answer but I will try.I am a Christian.A believe of God and Jesus who is the son of God.I read the king james bible.Which I believe is the word of God.And here is what I believe.My God is self existing.He was not created.He had no beginning and has no end.He is Everlasting.All power,all knowing and all seeing.From what the King James bible says.Your gods are called graven images.They were created by man's hands.They have no life in them.Have eyes but don't see.Have ear but don't hear. Have a mouth but don't speak.Have a nose but don't smell.Neither can the move or do anything.They have no power.

Jesus is the son of God.The Christ/Messiah.Our Lord and savior.Whom God sent into the world.Jesus was born of a virgin named Mary.Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist.Jesus received the holy spirit and a voice from heaven said "This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased."This voice is God testifying that Jesus is his son.Jesus performed many miracles like raised the dead back to life,give sight to the blind,the deaf could hear,the crippled could walk,healed diseases,and ever walked on water.Jesus spoke many parables.His words was the words of God.We have all sinned against God and all deserve to be in hell.Like you for example sense you believe in our God and worship them you are breaking the first and second commandments.King James bible Exodus 20:3-5(The first commandment)3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.(The second commandment)4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;No I don't condemn you or judge you because I done it too.We have both sinned against God.But there is hope.And that hope is Jesus the son of God.Died on the the cross for our sins.Taking our punishment and the wrath of God on him.Jeuse was buried,and on the 3nd day God raised Jesus from the dead.That by and thought the blood of Jesus we have redemption and forgiveness of sins.That by and thought Jesus we have fellowship with God and relationship.Here is my story on how I'm a believer.I was a little girl and went to church for the first time.I don't remember what the pastor preached that day.But I remember being touched in my heart and crying.I been a believer since then.My guess is I was touched with how much Jesus loves us and receives us.Just imagine it you have done something awful and don't think you well even be forgiven.Maybe even hated and rejected.But the Jesus cames and hugs.And says he forgives you and love you.Think about it for a moment.Would your Gods do that?What is my proof.Good question.I have had a dream of a great bright white light.The light was pure light.Nothing could have been as bright or as white.And I heard the sound of trumpets.I thought the second coming of Jesus was here.So I starting worshipping the Lord in the dream.This is my proof that God and Jesus is real.Want more proof?There is a YouTube channel called The 700 clud.Filled with testimonies of people.Who lives were changed by Jesus.

Now honest to God I don't know for sure how to be saved. I would highly suggest going to a church and asking them your question and how to be saved. Here is what I know so far. If you believe in Jesus and that he is the son of God.Belive what he did for you on the cross and believe in your heart he is risen. Accept Jesus as your Lord and savior. Repent of your sins. Which mean the forsake your sin and your evil way. Change your ways. For example you stole something. You repent of your. Maybe you return it or pay them back. Maybe apologize and steal no more for the rest of your life. Confess to God that you are a sinner and ask for forgiveness. Ask for Jesus to come into your heart. Ask for the holy spirit. There is a difference between the Creator of the universe and His Son who are recognized, worshiped, and glorified around the world; and ancient mythical pagan gods and goddesses who are not. I would have thought you would have know that being educated and all.

The fact that there are historical documents written by people who knew Jesus personally, lived with Him for several years, and witnessed His many miracles and other acts. Aphrodite and Zeus never existed except in people's imaginations.

Modern science can now prove that mankind has mistranslated some of the words being directly quoted spoken by the God of Abraham to a human named Moses due to our lack of scientific knowledge to properly interpret the advanced scientific definitions of these words being directly quoted spoken by God to Moses. This lead to mankind's unscientific religious definitions of these words being spoken by God to Moses. Modern science can now force mankind to retranslate these words back into the scientific definitions they've always been based on. These new scientific definitions will supersede all previous unscientific religious definitions ever written or handed down orally. These words are unique and associated with One particular God and that is the God of Abraham. Modern science can't say the same about any other god or gods and the words associated with them.

Well, let us first see that the Bible is a book of truth through the answers to 3 questions.

Number 1: Are the Jews are real people?  If you answer, "Yes", then move to question #2.

Number 2: Why the Jews are called "Jews"?  If you don't know, look to the Bible where the Jews are called Jews because they descended from the tribe of Judah.Genesis 29:35-- She conceived again, and bore a son. She said, “This time will I praise Yahweh.” Therefore she named him Judah. Then she stopped bearing.  World English Bible  “Judah” means “praise”.

Number 3: Now that the Jews are real people and they are in the Bible, ask yourself, “Why Jews don't take Jesus as Lord and Savior?” and “Why they don't believe that Jesus is the Messiah?”.

If you don't know, the answer is that the Jews holy text, the Tanakh/Old Testament was written before the coming of Jesus. This helps provide proof that the whole Bible (Old Testament/New Testament) were not written at the same time.

Now if we know that the Old Testament and the New Testament were not written at the same time, then the prophecies and foreshadowings of the Old Testament could not have been made up. Rather, they were made in advance and fulfilled later on.

The fulfilled prophecies and foreshadowings are THE ULTIMATE PROOF of GOD.

What are some prophecies and foreshadowings given by God in the Tanakh/Old Testament that have come to be fulfilled, one may ask.

Now let's look at the Tanakh/Old Testament foreshadowings/prophecies concerning Jesus.

1) Messiah was to be born in Bethlehem---Micah 5:2

2) the King/Messiah was to bring salvation was to ride into Jerusalem on an @ss, upon a colt, the foal of an @ss-----Zechariah 9:9

3) the price of Jesus' betrayal was told to be 30 pieces of silver, told who would end up with the money (the potter), and where the silver would be cast (the house of the Lord-----Zechariah 11:13

4) that the hands and feet would be pierced-----Psalm 22:16

5) that He would be born of a virgin---Isaiah 7:14

6) that He would be pierced for our transgressions---Isaiah 53:5

7) that He would die with wicked, be assigned a rich man's grave, though He had done no violence or said anything deceitful---Isaiah 53:9

One foreshadowing fulfilled by Jesus is the Passover Lamb.The Passover lamb died on the 14th of Nisan. Its blood was placed on the door frames of the Israelites homes to protect the Israelites from the angel of death and the plague of the first born males. Those that had faith that the blood of the lamb would save them (the Israelites) were protected from physical death. The Egyptians, who did not have faith in the blood, died. No bones were to be broken on the Passover lamb.

Jesus, the spiritual Passover Lamb, died on the 14th of Nisan. Those who have faith in the blood of Jesus to save them will be spared of spiritual death. Those who do not believe will suffer spiritual death/eternal torment in the lake of fire. No bones were broken on Jesus.

One foreshadowing you may not have known of is the names of the first ten ancestors in the genealogy of Jesus.Look at the genealogy from Adam to Noah.

Let us examine the names more closely. In our Bible, we read the Hebrew names.  What are the meanings of the Hebrew names in English?

Let's put the message/foreshadowing together, now.

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

There is the good news of Jesus in the genealogy from Adam to Noah.So there is proof that Jesus is the Son of God from the Tanakh/Old Testament which was written hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus.Has any prophecy been fulfilled in recent times?

Yes.  One fulfilled prophecy that was recently fulfilled was the Isaiah 9:10 prophecy that the best-selling book the Harbinger was about.

Now you have things to ponder.After seeing the evidence presented, the only reasonable response is that the Bible is God's gift to mankind to show us what God wants from us and how he expects us to act and what the future is.God wants us to know that Jesus/Yeshua is the Son of God and is the Savior of the world.  God wants us to love Him and trust in Jesus and what He did at the cross to save us from the penalty of our sins.:
