Mars' orbit is about 140 million miles from the sun on average.

From Earth, we can be as close as about 35 million miles, when Mars is in opposition, to as far as 235 million miles, when Mars and Earth are directly opposite of each other around the sun.

use GOOGLE and you can get a schitt load more information such as gifs, colored pictures and free animations over YA written responses.  Definitely always go for the more entertaining source material.

    It differs because of Orbits

But  Earth is 93 Million miles from the Sun

Mars at its closest to Earth is 55 Million miles from us

Depends where Mars and the Earth are in their orbits.
