No. It was about the knowledge of good and evil. The did not know evil, but God knows it and can handle it. They found out the hard way that they cannot handle it.

No. They already had that ability...God told them from the beginning to "be fruitful and multiply." Up until that point Adam and Eve only knew good...they were sinless. When they transgressed they came to know good and evil, like God. They did not become like God in a GOOD way, they did not GAIN anything desirable...they traded in their bliss for corrupting knowledge.

No, someone just wrote that thousands of years ago and the context is now lost.
People try to interpret it in their own way but in the end it makes no real sense.

Adam and Eve were CREATED to teach, not mate(forbidden fruit) with mankind . If you mate with mankind you die(lose supernatural powers).
(Gen. 1:26) Thousands of years ago God decided "let us(God & Sons) make man in our image" (teach man the Gospel)
(Gen. 1:27) So GOD(not us) CREATED Adam and Eve in His image - NEPHILIMS(Sons of God designed for earth).
@6000 years ago, when Eve mated with a Nodite tribesman from east of Eden, Cain was conceived. Cain was not Adam's son.
Then Adam mated with a Nodite woman.

because God had already instructed them to be fruitful and multiple BEFORE the Fall.

No. Satan meant that if they ate of the forbidden fruit, they would be like God in the sense of deciding for themselves what was right and wrong (instead of looking to the creator and His standard). Satan lied, of course, causing Eve to not only eat the fruit, but also eat up the lie Satan fed her.

It says "you will be like God, knowing good and evil." It does not say "you will be like God, able to create life." But go ahead and make up whatever interpretation you want. It's what Christians do.

You can look at it that way. The Serpent said that and since we think we are bodies, we think we create each other and take over God's place. But God creates us as Spirit.
