is a tongue an appendage?

I use mine to 'finger' my GF - so I guess it is, yes

I would go with yes. Neither anatomy or medicine was my major in college, but I feel like appendage is anything that could be ripped off. Ears, nose, fingers, toes, arms legs... I'd throw tongue in there too, but it would be a tad difficult.

So while I don't know the denotation of appendage, I'm going more with the gist I get from it, the connotation.
