Can you change the state you're registered to vote in?

I'm registered to vote in one state, but I am now living in a different state. Do I need to change the state I'm registered in so that I can vote in the upcoming presidential election, or will I have to get an absentee ballot?

you must register to vote in the state you are now living in. just call or go online to ask the election commission where and how to register. you may have to have lived there for 6 months and have a current utility bill as proof of residence.

You need to register to vote in the state in which you now live.

If you're temporarily residing in another state, say for school or a temporary work assignment, then you can get an absentee ballot.  If you've permanently relocated to another state then you need to register to vote in your new state.

You not only can change your registration; you must, unless you want to drive back to your old state to vote. Just Google "voter registration _________" with your new state name and it will show you how.

Then try to get informed so you make a good decision when you vote.
