It will never end. This first outbreak will probably extend at least to the summer of 2021. After that, there will be a short break until the winter of 2021/2022. Then it will break out again each fall/winter and last until spring. It will be just another nuisance we have to deal with each cold/flu season.

In all seriousness, it will end when it does. Hoping for minimal damage but be ready for it.
