There has been panic buying, which accounts for eggs being sold quickly.

Somebody might've eaten them because they were starving

People have gone nuts. They buy them as fast as they are delivered to the store.

When I bought them a week ago the whole egg display was fully stocked.

To rot in people's fridges. Hoarding is understandable if not a dick move if you can actually use the stuff. You can't freeze milk and eggs and frozen bread might keep you alive but won't taste good.

I just got back from BJs and the grocery and both had plenty of eggs, no milk at the grocery no johnny wipe anywhere - thankfully we have a tulip popular tree out back.

I found toilet paper for the first time today in a week. The lady at the store said the truck didn't bring any new toilet paper either. People bought all they had that's what happened to them.
