Driving licence restored ?

I'm from Ireland,  ok I lost my driving licence for drink driving for 3 years , I had a drink problem at the time I went to rehab soon after and havevt drank since, life is alot different today we all make mistakes. Anyway in Ireland if it was your first offence you can apply to get licence restored after 2 years , which I intend to do on 1st of june this year , I have have a 1 year old daughter and want to get back to work , licence is essential as I live in countryside, does anyone have experience of applying for restoration of licence? If so how successful is it ? Thank you

    you must have been a bad boy to lose it for 3 years ..only the worst cases get that ..and your right ..you can apply after two years ..but not yourself ..i went onto a website called citizen information ..an irish site ..it tells you all you need to do ...
