Can you get fired if you accidentally dented the post office truck?

My husband accidentally dented his post office truck but no other vehicle was involved. He was delivering mail and wasn’t using it for personal use. We have a 4 month old baby. Can he get fired for this?

    He's going to be in MORE trouble for not reporting it than for reporting it.

    probably not unless he was speeding or driving impaired.
