The liquor store down my street is open, but the driving school where I need to take test is pretty much closed. Does this make any sense?

I agree, alcohol is not essential.

It makes perfect sense.  Driving lessons are either done in a classroom with people in close contact, or in a vehicle with people in close contact.  Driving lessons are also a luxury, not an essential service.

Alcohol is not an essential service (unless you're an alcoholic), but pretty damn close.  If liquor stores start shutting down, there will be looting and rioting in the streets.

Well you're wrong. Liquor is essential. If you forced all the alcoholics and dry drunks off the booze, they would flood the hospitals and need medical treatment, and there aren't enough beds.

Look up "Alcoholism Detox" Hospitals are being flooded with people since they closed bars/taverns. My brother works at a Hospital in Milwaukee. 

Totally agree with you. Alcohol is NOT an essential.

Alchool is essential for those going though withdraws.

How is alcohol less essential than a driving school? I understand why you think the alcohol store my not be essential, but then why would the driving school be essential? If you haven't been driving until today, why is it now essential that you drive?

You can survive another month without driving but someone stuck with the kids all day, when they would normally be in school NEEDS alcohol NOW!
