What is my religion?
I grew up as a Catholic, but last year, after going through a bout of serious depression and scientific questioning, I became an atheist. However, I’ve had an interesting set of beliefs that I don’t believe is common among individuals.
Here’s what I don’t believe:
1. I do not believe there is a supernatural God that created the Earth within a week
2. I do not believe there is heaven nor hell, nor do I believe in any form of an afterlife. I believe that once you die, you will cease to exist in the same way that you did before birth.
3. I do not believe in some literal bible stories. For example, I do not believe that there was a flood that killed every being that was not on Noah’s Ark, or that Adam and Eve were the first two humans.
What I DO believe, however, is that there was a man named Jesus who was just as supernatural as every one of us: not at all. I do believe, however, that Jesus, along with others mentioned in the Bible, were rather intellectual.
I believe the tales told in the Bible are not literal, but rather lessons for each of us to learn so that we can lead happy healthy lives. For example, the tale of Adam and Eve teaches us to not be greedy.
I believe that heaven is figurative for looking back at the end of life and being happy that you made a positive impact at the end of your life, while hell is figurative for regretting poor life decisions.
With that said, would I be a christian, an atheist, something in between, or a different religion altogether?

I would consider you a Non-Believer but God is not finished with you yet. You have your entire life to re-establish with God and Son. You don't even know what tomorrow will bring. I find that interesting that with all that knowledge you have, what you don't know is more important today than what you think you know.

Religion involves man trying to reach God or a better afterlife by doing good works. Religion cannot save you; only Jesus saves.
Because we have all sinned against a perfectly holy and righteous God, we all deserve eternal separation from God in hell (Rom. 6:23). However, God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross as our Substitute so we don't have to go to hell. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He gives eternal life freely to anyone who simply believes in Him for it. No one can be saved by doing good works. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life" (John 6:47).

Well...what you've done
is decided
to reject the evidence of the Bible
and then - in a sense - rewrite it according to your whims
as if your opinion of what really happened 2,000 years ago
is more reliable than the evidence itself.
Hint: that is NOT scientific.
My advice:
- earn a real science degree from a reputable, accredited university
- then read the Bible cover-to-cover, keeping in mind the principle of "best evidence"

You're still a Catholic; albeit, a faithless one. But, there's still hope for you.

The closest thing to your beliefs is Uniterian.
You mentioned that you don't believe in a God that created the Earth within a week, but you don't mention whether or not there is a God at all.
You don't believe in a heaven or hell, but I doubt if you've checked out the work being done at the University of Virginia Medical School, concerning research into near-death experiences. They seem to support the idea that consciousness continues after death. The research of Ian Stevenson and Jim Tucker also supports the ideas of reincarnation. Have you investigated them?
If there is no God then why is the universe so finely tuned? What about the anthropic principle where the physical constants of the universe are such that intelligence life is compelled to exist?
I appreciate that you are seriously investigating your own beliefs, but I think that such an endeavor is actually a lifelong process. Perhaps someday you will study the intellectual giants within the Catholic Church as well.

Do you believe in a deity?
If yes, then you are a theist. More information is needed to know what sort of theist you are.
If not, then you are an atheist.
From what you said, I suspect you are an atheist.

Your religion is confusion as you can not separate facts from your beliefs and you assume that lessons that might have been relevant in a much less complex society have relevance to issues that they had no clue of. There is nothing that addresses cloning, gene editing. gender identity or the effects that humans have on the environment, to mention a few of current problems.
Jesus, if he existed and there is no evidence that suggests that he did, might have said the same things that many other thinkers did, i.e. his "Golden Rule" was said in different ways, many time before and after him in various cultures.
Frankly, it doesn't matter what religion you label yourself as, what matters is how well you understand facts and what you do with that understanding. You could ascribe to some given religion, but that religion considers people to be of a different gender than their physical sex organs to be "abominations" or sinful and you will spend your life making thousands of people unhappy for no good reason.

Since you explicitly don’t believe in God you’re pretty much an Atheist. If you neither believe nor disbelieve in God because we cannot know you’d be Agnostic

Me thinks you think too much, and your life is so small in the greater scheme of things. Have fun before the worms get you.
