Will money still be able to be taken from my card?

I lost my bag with my bank cards in I then phoned the bank to have a block put on my cards while I wait for a new one. I have a balance payment that is going to be automatically taken from my card for a holiday in the next two days. Even though the card is blocked will the money still be taken or should I contact the company?

Nothing can or will be charged to a card you cancelled. Make other payment arrangements.

When you reported the card lost the bank should have cancelled them and sent you new cards. get your card then go into the site for the auto pay and put in the new card info

Call your bank first (or, if possible, go to the bank).  Even if you haven't activated the card, there should be a way for you to personally authorize this one charge.  If that doesn't work, then try the company.  You could offer to wire the funds.  Don't do this first though because it does slightly mess with their accounting and I'm sure they'd rather do it through a card.

No, the blocked card will not allow any payments from the associated account.

Contact the business that expects their automatic payment and ask how they want to be paid in light of the card's loss.
