I used my paid time off today just for a personal day off?

My supervisor contacted me saying my day off was confirmed but still wants an excuse. Can I get written up for saying I just wanted the day off?? I don't want to lie about why I am home

Tell him you need a de-stressing day.  You stayed at home and de-stressed.

Reason for day off: "Eye trouble. I just can't see coming into to work that day."

It sounds like your day off was approved and you can do whatever you want to with your time off.  Just tell him you need a personal day to run errands.

Well depends on the company policy. We have no idea if you can be written up for that or not. In reality you could always say you didn't feel well. It's not lie if you are just taking a mental health day.
