2009 Cadillac CTS won’t start?

Yesterday, the brakes were really tight and the steering also was really tight, but I managed to drive it home. Today, when I went to start it it was completely dead (no inside lights, bells or nothing). Is there a chance it could just be the battery or do I need to have it towed to the shop for a complete diagnosis? Thanks.

If the power steering and power brakes are not working I'll bet the drive belt/serpentine belt broke and the alternator is not charging the battery.

The serpentine belt could be broken.  Open the hood and inspect.  Check the fuses.

I believe that there was a recall on the electric power steering.  But that should have nothing to do with the brakes.  The battery would have to be really, really dead not to power the inside light.  You could try a jump to start it and to see if everything runs well before making a careful drive to the shop.

But because there seems to be multiple issues : brakes, steering, and now no electricity , the safest thing is to call for the tow.

More likely it is a belt.
