An employee voluntarily and unexpectedly quit via text, now is requesting unemployment from workforce commission.?

Is this text (which I have saved) valid evidence to prove this employee was not fired? | I also have the co-worker who was called last minute to fill as witness. I'm in Texas.

Yes, the text is evidence.  Witness works too.

I would send all of the evidence to the governing agency to have them deny the unemployment benefits.   I would also not consider him for reemployment consider the way he resigned.
