How can I not get fired for attendance this time ?
Ive had a 4 jobs in the past. And I’ve been fired for attendance except for my last one which I recently quit because now I’m a train operator. This is my first job where I’m being paid over $20 an hour. I’ve been working there since June. I’ve already went into the sick book and took a week off. And I just called off today and I feel crappy and if I do this again it’s a write up. It’s just that this job does pay good but it’s stressful. I work all type of hours.
I’m told to get at least 8 hours of sleep because we have to be alert controlling the train but they give a 12pm-4pm run and then a 7pm-11pm and then I’m told to come back at 6am the next day!? How am I suppose to rest. Of course since I’m new I get the crappy shifts and off days.
Oh and the supervisors preach about safety is first and to not drive so fast and apply brake. But if I arrive late at the terminal then I could get wrote you, so my other supervisor comes down my thirst saying I’m late and it doesn’t matter the reason why. It’s just so irritating and frustrating and then I’m scared I might hit someone because people on the drain get hit almost daily and I’m told that it’s termination if you hit a passenger unless it’s a suicide but even then you can get fired depending on how it happens.
I just don’t know but this job is already making me call off. I would quit If it weren’t for the money

SHOW UP TO WORK WHEN SCHEDULED.
That is the ONLY approach that is even 50% effective.
Note: I don't believe for a second that anyone that has been fired 4 times for attendance issues was hired as a train operator.

if I were a boss I wouldn't hire you - you are unreliable with a very bad attitude, you have not long started the job and you seem to think everything should be changed to suit you, you seem to have very bad mental health issues and I wouldn’t want to be on a train that you are driving, they should sack you and replace you with someone who really wants to do the job

You need to understand that MOST jobs are stressful. This is just part of life. You, however, seem to have a lot of personal issues, and I suspect that a job like this one is not really for you. People's safety is riding on your ability to stay calm and stable. It doesn't seem to me that you're really emotionally capable of doing that.
Have you ever sought therapy? Because frankly, it sounds as though you need it.
In the meantime, if I were you, I'd be napping between 4 and 7 pm, whenever you have just a few hours off. I'd also think about taking something like yoga or meditation classes and learning deep-breathing exercises to stay calm and centered. If your shifts are erratic, take melatonin whenever you do get a chance to sleep. It's not a drug; it won't leave you feeling sluggish.
But really, consider therapy.
