Have you ever made a vanilla ice cream shake with eggnog instead of milk? What is it any good?

I guess it must be delicious and super high in cholesterol-fat... but I'm thinking of trying it with some cinnamon on top... =)

At Fred Meyer here in Oregon they sell eggnog ice cream so I just wait for it to melt a little bit and it becomes a shake.

It would be very rich and sweet,  and works out more expensive than milk.

An ice cream shake wouldn't be good foamy.

I make my own ice cream.  I make my own eggnog.

My eggnog is foamy, the cream and egg whites are whipped.

I have made Ice cream using eggnog in place of the milk called for. I still used cream.  Tasted great.

When the local Frozen Custard place puts eggnog custard on the menu I get shakes or "concretes"  made with that flavor. the flavor is Awesome.

That would be an eggnog shake - sounds great but some fresh grated nutmeg would be better than cinnamon.

It has been years since i made ice cream, but the idea of egg nog would probably be quite good.

Homemade ice cream is better with canned milk.
