Why do Atheists desperately claim that the different religions differ on the God they worship instead of differing on how they depict him?

My only claim is all gods are myths.

Simply present an objective way to show that one or more gods are the same.  While we can see similarities between the Christian god, the Jewish god and the Islamic god, there are also striking differences.  However if they were real, then there should be some objective way that does not come to pure faith or interpretation.

Because it is an asinine argument produced by someone who very much wants to believe that their imaginary friend is the same as the other imaginary friends. Which would mean, by that twisted logic, that so many people can't be wrong at once. You want people to agree with you and think if you get enough you can make a truth from a lie.

If i told you my favorite superhero has a large S on his chest, is an alien from the planet Krypton, can fly, and works at the Daily Planet or you going to say "I also like Batman"? No? Ok well then Brahma is not the same as Allah or Thor or Jesus. Yes they are in the same general class but that is as far as it goes.

Atheists don't say any such thing, atheists simply don't believe any gods exist.

Im going to call BS. Christians cannot even agree on what the bible says or how to interpret it and I am as certain as I have been about anything that there isnt a christian or muslim or hindu that will agree with you.

And for what its worth, atheists dont claim what you said. Atheism is a negation of the god belief and nothing else.
