Newborn in car seat in stroller ?

what are the travel methods when you have a newborn? Is it car seat for ride and then place car seat in stroller? Is this safe for the baby and are parents supposed to use a basinet stroller instead.

There are many options for car seat/stroller combos that allow you to safely move the car seat from car to stroller--- there'll be some sort of latch to secure the car seat. Some parents choose a different type of stroller and will move baby from car seat to stroller... particularly if they aren't using an infant seat, there are rear facing car seats that are approved for use with and fit children from newborn through preschool. Other parents might not use a stroller at all and choose a sling or wrap.
