Do I have a legal right to know the location of my father and if he's alive or dead    Can the law en for sment get involved?

    Law enforcement is there to investigate crimes. That you don't know where your father is and haven't had contact with him for a long time isn't something within their realm of responsibility. If you want to find out where he is, consider hiring a private detective, or ask another family member if they've talked with him.

    No, you do not have such a  legal right.  Law enforcement does not get involved.  Hire a PI.

    No you have no legal right at all........... he is an adult and can choose if he wishes avoid you knowing where he is

    This is not a matter for law enforcement.

    You would have to go to your local county/city registrar's office and ask their help.
