freezing lobster tails?

So, I had to get my live lobsters today. I am cooking the lobster tails on Christmas. I have 2 days until then. Do I cut off the tails now and freeze them (just cook the rest of the lobster) or do I cut the tails off and just refrigerate them until I cook them on Friday afternoon! I know the meat can go bad pretty quickly so I'm just not sure the best way to handle it. Looking for suggestions.

The IDEAL way would have been to wait to buy them until the day before you needed them (actually the day you need them but most places are closed on Christmas)

So you now have a few hopefully lively pets to keep alive until Christmas

You can keep them alive, do a quick search for ways.

Or you can cut off the tails now and keep them refrigerated until you want to cook them.

the remaining lobster I would cook and remove any meat and either enjoy that now or use it to make an appetizer to have before the meal. Or a Bisque to serve before dinner.

Why did you get it then Today? Should have been Tomorrow
