Business certification?
Hi,
I am currently a second semester junior pursuing a biology degree. I was hoping to be able to have a business/economics minor to broaden my horizons, in case I decide to not go into science long term. However, I don't have time to unless I want to stay an extra semester, which I don't think will worth the extra money. My question is, do you think I should stay the extra semester, or is there some other cheaper way (like a community college) to pursue some business certification? I'm only 21, and I want to keep my options open in the future.
Thank you,
Erik Olexiewicz

Based on your stated goals, staying an extra semester and getting a minor in business would be the better plan. Most people who major in science (or anything else besides business) but want to be in business get an MBA. An MBA will be much more valuable than a minor, but will take longer and be much more expensive. I don't believe the CC route would carry much value to employers.
