Dropping out of grad school due to poor grades?
I am contemplating dropping out of my 1 year ms program due to poor grades. My program directors are letting me withdraw from these classes to retake them but I just always feel I am always struggling. I would be withdrawn from two classes and retake them in the fall and spring of next semester. Opinions or similar stories?

No one here can tell you what's best for you.

I don't have a similar story, but I have to ask you: why do you think you are doing so poorly? Is it poor undergraduate preparation? Just an inability to handle the material? Is it possible this field just isn't for you?
I ask because if you have to retake classes, it may be that you really aren't suited to the field and that you'll have problems doing well in a career related to it.
If I were you, I'd have some serious, blunt, conversations with the faculty about the situation. What do they think of your ability level and your likely future? Would they advise you to rethink your career plans or do they feel that you can not only complete this degree, you can do well in the field? If they are honestly encouraging, stick with the program. If not, rethink you career.
If there's any way you can complete the degree, though, do so. A master's always looks better than a bachelor's, even if you are contemplating working in some other career.

Struggling? If you are really giving it your all. Making school a priority. If you just can not understand the material or do the work on your own, then Yes it may be time to quit. Do t waste time or money of you are not sure you can do the work needed to succeed and graduate.

I think it depends on why you are struggling. Are you struggling right now because of the pandemic and other related issues? Or do you think you'd be struggling even under better circumstances? Do you just not enjoy the program or the courses? Are they too difficult for you? I think the fact that your program directors are allowing you the opportunity to retake these courses means that they see potential in you. Do you have other options in mind if you do drop out of this program? I definitely don't think you should stick it out if it's not for you, but I'd also hate to see someone give up on something they enjoy and/or can benefit them because of temporary issues.

I dropped out of graduate?school because?I was unable to get myself out of academic probation. I was out for 7 years. When I went back to school it was as a non degree seeking continuing education student. After 2 semesters I became an undergraduate student and earned a third bachelors degree. Then I went back to graduate school for a slightly different master's degree. Yes, I did graduate, but it?was bittersweet. My father did not live to see me earn a graduate?degree. My mother did not li 've to see me graduate from college.
The longer you stay out of school the harder it it is to go back. Vo-tech school is a viable alternative. Getting certified can open new?job opportunities. Use the career services office if the school, college or university has such an office. Businesses?work with the universities colleges and vo-tech schools. Use financial aid if you need to. College work study jobs often do NOT pay minimum wage, but you do get job experience.

Not to sound nasty, but more people should know when to quit.
Not knowing what your major is or your plans, maybe it's time to get a job to apply the education you already have.
If not, I recommend a Trade school. Let the college grads pay your salary. ; ' )
