Depends on what they are made with. If they are made using whole grains, real eggs and spices in the batter, probably not. But that is likely NOT the onion rings you are baking.
For me, the appeal of onion rings is exactly that they are crunchy, salty, a bit greasy and very highly flavored. I'll splurge and have "real" ones, but only at my favorite local burger place that uses grassfed beef and have good quality ingredients. I think I've had onion rings there maybe three times in 10 years. And I always get my burger lettuce wrapped rather than in a bun.

Well they won't kill you, but they do come with a fair share of cholesterol in them, but baking them definitely will keep them healthier than deep frying them.

It more depends on the coating(how greasy) and how many you eat. Just a couple? Fine. A whole platter of them-probably not.
