Running to and from rugby practice and the gym?

I am starting up training again for rugby and we have practices twice a week. My gym and my rugby practices are both the same distances away from home 5km in one direction. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to run to and from training and rugby practices?

    Don't know unless you try. What the worst can happen? too tired maybe need ride home? too sweaty?

    Try it and see. It might take time getting used to it.

    A slow jog will do nothing for you and may be harmful.  You need to sprint the entire way to see any health benefit.
