Why don't today's Christians know water baptism is the stumblingblock God set in their path (Jer 6:21) for disobeying Him but obeyed man?
YOU can't do what Jesus did when He was "fulfilling all righteousness" (Matt 3:15) as He promised in Matt 5:17-18 of what God had spoken through the Prophets Isaiah (40:3) and Malachi (3:1) and (((WAS NOT))) "Repenting; Believing that Jesus was coming" which is the definition for water baptism given in Acts 19:4!
Gee whiz! Jesus was (((ALREADY))) "righteous" (Hebrews 4:15). Why would He need to "Repent" and didn't know that "He had come" (Acts 19:4)?
You need to change your Ivatar because you are FAR FROM JESUS!
How are you going to DENY THE POWER OF GOD (II Tim 3:5-7) baptize you (John 1:33) and rather go with A MAN dunking you in a powerless trinity water faucet baptism (Matthew 28:19+) that already DEFIES THE WORD OF GOD "Worshiping with men's hands" (Acts 17:25) let alone water baptism makes (((TWO))) baptisms DEFYING Ephesians 4:5 "One baptism?"
You've DEFIED TWO SCRPTURES ALREADY!
How can your belief be right?
@MACK
No I wasn't! My daddy was a bishop in a church and God revealed to him there was no water baptism in the name of the Father, Son & Holy Ghost (Matt 28:19) BUT in the name of the Lord Jesus as Peter preached in Acts 2:38 for which he was put out of the synagogue thinking they did God a service.
As with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, his blessing passed down to me. GOD called me with new revelation (Eph 4:11-13) the "one baptism" (Eph 4:5) Jesus does with the Holy Ghost (John 1:33).
"Except the LORD built the house, they labor in vain that built it" (Psalm 127:1).
@IVAN
"But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God." (Acts 5:39)!
See comments under so called "Jesus"
@Mystical
"Purification?"
"...the blood of His Son Jesus Christ [Holy Spirit baptism; Mark 16:16] cleanses us from all sin" (I John 1:7)
"Without blood there is no remission" (Hebrews 9:22)!
What are you talking about?
@DONALD
YET you can't (((DEBUNK))) it!
"But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God." (Acts 5:39)!
TRY IT using the Word of GOD (Isaiah 8:20) instead of "ACCUSATIONS" (Rev 12:10) like the devil (I Cor 10:21)!
@ ?
You can't tell I work for Jesus when "NONE of my adversaries are able to gainsay or contradict" (Luke 21:15) the message GOD sent through me yet their LYING catholic beliefs can be DEBUNKED (Jer 5:14)?
Like Atheist, you today's Christians are not looking at "the demonstration of the Spirit and of POWER" (I Cor 2:4) "working through me" (Phil 2:13).
Hasn't Jesus "given me wisdom and knowledge" of His Word (Lk 21:15)?
Hasn't HE "devoured catholic beliefs (Jer 5:14)?
LOOK SPIRITUALLY!
Your beliefs BETTER "be narrow" since Christ has "one mind" (Phil 2:2) who warned us "If we preach any other gospel let him be ACCURSED" (Gal 1:6-9).
If a person's beliefs defy ONE SCRIPTURE of what GOD (((ACTUALLY))) SAID they are in unrighteousness and "BLASPHEMY" (Matt 12:30-32)
@DAVID
GOD has given me sense enough to believe (((PETER FORGET))) and (((DID NOT REMEMBER))) until Acts 11:15-16.
BUT like JW's you "FORGET GOD" (Psalm 9:17) SAID IT!
Therefore you can take your little 'chariot' to HELL with you in "unbelief" (Rev 21:8).
@ANON
Yeah!
Their "table" (I Cor 10:21) "will burn" (I Cor 3:10-15).
You can't "FORGET GOD" (Psalm 9:17) SAID the definition for water baptism was one of "REPENTANCE; BELIEVING JESUS WAS COMING" (Acts 19:4).
How do you think it's a stumblingblock if today's Christians are (((STILL))) "believing Jesus is coming" (Acts 19:4)?
@WIND RIVER
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT WHEN THE WORD OF GOD (((ACTUALLY))) SPOKEN IS FOR (((REPROOF))) (II TIMOTHY 3:16)?
WHY ARE YOU LISTENING TO "VOICES IN YOUR HEAD" WHEN GOD SAID
"IF THE SPEAK NOT ACCORDING TO THIS WORD IT IS BECAUSE THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THEM" (ISAIAH 8:20)?

When you only have two voices and one said you will die the other you will not die. The stumbling stone is the one said to be cast out from the beginning that now is your only hope and faith you will be saved . You now have to except the one you called a liar and a thief as your savior and except both voice were right and the truth, for it was always only one voice in many bodies.

God Himself said we are to be reborn of water and the Spirit, an obvious reference to Baptism.

Things MUST be verified by considering what the Scriptures say. Since Jesus said, God's word is truth - John 17:17 - Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth. - - - - So what did Jesus indicate about WATER AND SPIRIT? Let's see - John 3:5 - Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. - - - - So, according to God's word of truth, WATER IS A REQUIREMENT! God wants people to have an ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE OF TRUTH - 1 Timothy 2:4 – whose (God’s) will is that all sorts of people should be saved and come to an accurate knowledge of truth. - - - - So, we must be careful. Or we will end up like what this Scripture describes - 2 Peter 3:16. . . and these things the ignorant and unstable are twisting, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. - - - - And as that says, "twisting" the Scriptures leads to destruction. So, we find this example to help us make sure we are getting the accurate knowledge that God wants us to have - Acts 17:11 . . . carefully examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. - - - -
With that in mind, I invite everyone to visit the following web site where free Bible lessons are offered online. But ALWAYS examine the Scriptures carefully. To make sure you are getting the accurate knowledge that God wants you to have. And you can approach him in prayer to ask for his help - Psalm 65:2 - O Hearer of prayer, to you people of all sorts will come. - - - - The web site is:

GN, can you explain to us all why the HS sent Philip, a known water baptizer and miracle worker, to preach the gospel of Jesus to the Ethiopian, and sure enough he too wanted to be baptized in water (Ac 8), but you claim the HS sends you, a known anti-water baptism person, to preach a gospel different from Philip, where you tell people NOT to get baptized with water, and that they'll go to hell if they do?
Do you preach a different gospel than Philip (Gal 1:6-9)?
Did the HS change his mind about water baptism at some point, and if so, do you know when?
Do you know why the HS didn't scream at Philip for preaching water baptism, like you scream today at people who preach water baptism?
Could you update your question with answers to those questions so that we all have a better understanding of your anti-water baptism theology?
Update for GN:
GN, you have no idea how utterly foolish your "Peter forgot" argument sounds, and you only make God look like a complete dunce to attribute the argument to him. But for the sake of argument, let's say Peter did forget. Does that mean everyone also forgot, including the HS? So your argument is mass amnesia. Did everyone all of a sudden "remember" when Peter remembered?
It's obvious from the answers that unlike Philip, no one takes you seriously. This false prophet thing you prattle is obviously just an attention-seeking mechanism of yours that you find helps your inherent low sense of worth. You make it so easy to determine you're a false prophet (Mt 7:15-20), I wouldn't even call it a wolf in sheep's clothing, but rather a wolf with extra long fangs. For example, only you would mock a picture of the chariot mentioned in Acts 8.

If water baptism was good enough for Jesus, it's good enough for me. You do seem to be one of the false prophets they warned us about.

Christians know that the word Christian means to be christ-like. As a Christian we are to follow the perfect example given unto us by Jesus Christ.
Therefore as a Christian before I begin my ministry I'm going to do exactly what Jesus Christ did I'll get water baptized and go on from there.
Any other idea that some man tells you is incorrect.
You do what Jesus Christ did and you cannot go wrong
