Am I wasting my time or is it worth waiting ?
The family friend we currently live with and her kids we are very close we are basically a family and i have always though of her kids like brothers I spend a lot of a time with them every week take them out spend money on them I have always though of them like brothers but I asked there mom would her oldest think of me as a brother and she replied not if you keep pressuring him about it I haven’t been I even asked him if I was family and he just Ignored it completely he is always around me 24/7 basically I want to know if it’s worth waiting for that to happen or just walk away now I have lived with them for 6 years and have been trying and nothing has come of it but also I am 10x closer with her oldest now than I was ever if someone can help me that would be great

Not sure what you want here. Ask yourself if the pyrrhic victory of forcing one of them to call you "brother" is really worth all the bad feelings you're engendering in needing to hear this word. You sound dangerously emotionally needy

You’ll have to settle for a good friend. You can’t make someone unrelated be your brother, it has to feel like it’s his idea.

Ommmmg 6 years? That’s a long time. And honestly, u can wait your whole life for those kids if u truly love them ❤️ I don’t think u will find the correct answer here. Only you know your heart. If u wanna wait more years, do it.
