Re I Corinthians 1:27 Has God chosen me with bad grammar to confound the wise so they can focus on grammar and miss the truth?
I Corinthians 1:27 says
“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”
Is it like Jesus speaking in parables so people couldn't hear (Matthew 13:10-15) to fulfill Matthew 7:13-14?
"I spoke through the prophets and multiplied their visions; I gave parables through the prophets" (Hosea 12:10).
"Now speak a parable to this rebellious house and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: 'Put the pot on the fire; put it on and pour in the water (Ezekiel 24:3).
26 "Brothers, consider the time of your calling: Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were powerful; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 He chose the lowly and despised things of the world, and the things that are not, to nullify the things that are" (I Corinthians 1:26-28).
You people better watch concentrating on things like grammar or you will throw the baby out with the bath water!
@ANON
It only matters what GOD SAID (Isaiah 8:20).
Didn't you see the "quotation marks" of what GOD SAID in the updates?
Well let me "quote" this
"If they preach any other gospel let them be ACCURSED" (Galatians 1:6-9).
@LIZ
What are you talking about "...by exercising faith in Christ’s sacrifice everlasting life in a righteous new system can be enjoyed?"
What are you talking about? NO ONE will get into heaven or ANY PLACE NEAR GOD by "exercising faith" from a "DEAD spirit" (Rm 5:12-14; I Cor 15:21-22) who has (((NO PROOF))) (I Thess 5:21; KJV; II Tim 4:5; II Cor 13:5) of His (((POWER))) [Acts 1:8] we receive after Holy Spirit baptism [Acts 1:5] who "QUICKENS us back to life" (Eph 2:1) from "DEAD spirits."
@JULI
JW's are the most spiritless today's Christians of the batch!
@Justin
"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved" (Romans 10:1).
@ ?
Not in this case (Jeremiah 1:10).
@Yesmar
I was just wondering who would respond negatively and not be saved and here you are.

No, Norine, He chose you to be a ranting, arrogant, hag that everyone will disdain and ignore. And you have answered His call.

No.
You confound yourself.
As far as I know: you've failed completely in confounding anyone else
in regard to doctrine, anyway.
You can confound people in other ways
namely: in understanding what you mean
with your poor skills.

Well, since you asked, I’d say “no”, God hasn’t chosen you for anything specific.

GOD always leaves 'bent nails' out for the atheist 'building inspector' to find, since otherwise they poke into things that might hurt them, then hurt others.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." (Matthew 7:6).
At the same time there are children of His outclassing them in EVERYTHING, including grammatical skills. No sense in letting a soul die just because of bad grammar. As far as those who have already made up their minds, GOD really doesn't mind them chasing their own tails. They are usually better off that way. Plus it is rather entertaining and comical to Him.
"Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?
"The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the LORD and against His Messiah, saying,
“Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”
"He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them." (Psalm 2:1-4).

To the so-called wise and intellectual ones of the world the speech about Christ pouring out his lifeblood on a torture stake is foolishness. They scoff at the idea that by exercising faith in Christ’s sacrifice everlasting life in a righteous new system can be enjoyed. That Christ rose from the dead and is now the powerful King of God’s heavenly Kingdom is pure fantasy as far as they are concerned. Yet Almighty God purposes to have this heartwarming message made known worldwide. So to anyone who would become his servant he gives the assignment to preach this good news of his Kingdom. Since this message amounts to foolishness to the wise and intellectual ones of the world, whom does God use to preach it? Listen to the inspired answer from God’s own Word:
4 “For you behold his calling of you, brothers, that not many wise in a fleshly way were called, not many powerful, not many of noble birth; but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put the wise men to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put the strong things to shame;"

You need quotation marks. Lots of quotation marks if you're going to post something that long about Christian beliefs
