How long do you guys keep contacts in for?

My mom keeps them in for about a week but says you should probably take them out every day so for people who wear contacts how long do you usually keep them in for?

I have had the in for an hour and I have worn them up to 18 hours before taking them out. But when I have my contacts in for a long time I might not wear them at all for a day or two and just wear my glasses. I used to wear only contacts because I didn't own any glasses but now I prefer glasses instead of contacts unless I am outside and I don't mind my glasses for that either. If I only wear contacts a few days a week I am satisfied but I am actually considering to switch to glasses full time because I am tired of dealing with contacts after 32 years! Contacts have their advantages but my eyes get irritated if they are in a lot for several days in a row where if I am wearing my glasses, I don't have those issues! If you are considering getting contacts, make sure that you have glasses with a current prescription and don't abandon wearing them! If I would have done it over again I would have got glasses first and got used to them before I got contacts! Contacts are nice but glasses are a necessity!

During the week when I go to work, I put them in around 6:30 in the morning and take them out about 12 hours later, at 6:30 at night.

Weekends I usually wear them less, and if I'm not going anywhere I may not put them in at all.

They should be removed at bedtime.
