Why do people intentionally waste people's time asking questions they already know the answer to?

They have no sense.

I don't know but it frustrates the hell out of me.  I just google the question & give them the sites that came up.  They must get some kind of kick out of it.  But it sure shows their ignorance & stupidity.

You cannot claim to know what they know.  However,  giving your information to a phone bot, then one customer service representative and then ANOTHER customer service representative is ludicrous, Citibank. 

How is it a waste of time?  You are on this site willingly are you not?

Some of us want to know if others know what we know which is asked in a question. Collaboration of the mind.

Maybe they like talking.. People do that to me often. They ask " what are you doing?" I say i am cutting this board. " i can see that"  . Then why did you ask?
