What would John Lennon say about the US second amendment? A really great idea, or no?

    After his death, it was revealed John Lennon was actually conservative and was a big supporter of Reagan. Reagan if you recall was a major figure in the gun control/rights movements since he was shot but held his ground on constitutional rights. 

    It would be a large jump in logic to assume a brit like Lennon held the same views but I do think Lennon the person was a lot different from the image

    In answer to the 'happiness is a warm gun' quote, Lennon saw it in an american Advertisement and thought it was so amazingly crazy that he put it into a song. It is satire.

    Like Madonna, Bono, and others 

    John Lennon's views were convenient and fashionable.

     

    I will never be able to care less what he 

    would have said about the US Second Amendment. Ever.

    What does it matter was a British guy thinks about US law,

    One of the main reasons we have the 2nd is because of the British

    John Lennon said quite repeatedly, "Happiness is a warm gun," but then he got shot dead by David Chapman and his warm gun, so we'll never really know.
