Isaiah and the Jews had a very limited understanding of the meaning of the verse. Jesus straightened that all out, during his time here on earth.

How exactly the Jews interpret it I'm not sure.

I do know they were not looking for a man-God, as the trinitarians want it to say. They were rightly looking for a man chosen by God to become the Messiah.

This prophecy corresponds with (Daniel 7:13, 14) 

“13 “I kept watching in the visions of the night, and look! with the clouds of the heavens, someone like a son of man was coming; and he gained access to the Ancient of Days, and they brought him up close before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership, honor, and a kingdom, that the peoples, nations, and language groups should all serve him. His rulership is an everlasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom will not be destroyed.”

This 'son of man' would be given 'godly powers' and 'godly authority' to represent the only true God, Jehovah.

Jesus as God's appointed King would be a Wonderful Counsellor, because what he taught is not his own thoughts and teachings, but the thoughts and teachings of his God and Father.

Just as the God appointed judges and rulers were called gods at Ps 82:6, Jesus being a judge who judges all things according to God's will, becomes not just a god, but a Mighty God. (in English titles are capitalized)  Being a Mighty God does not make equal to his God and Father, nor does he desire people to worship him, for he says, 'All worship goes to Jehovah, his God and Father.

Jesus because of his death ransomed mankind from the curse brought about by Adam, the 'father of all fleshly mankind.

Jesus becomes their 'Eternal Father' in that his death brought back what Adam lost. Thus Jesus, the 'last Adam' become the life giving spirit, that gives life to all who accept his ransom.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace because by means of his Kingship all the nations will be blessed with eternal peace.

The trinity doctrine is actually disproves their interpretation of this verse, since they say, Jesus is not the Father, Thus Jesus cannot be both God Almighty and the Father.
