Why would someone end a relationship which is good when a life is built together just because of a fling ?
Say someone is having an affair. No sex. But gr8 conversation and some hugging n kissing. They have loads in common with affair partner. But both married to other ppl for 25 yrs plus. How can you expect them to break up their families and lifes over an affair?? Why do this ? I mean it would destroy lives that have been built? Is a buddy you are over affectionate with so bad?

While you may not have gone all the way with having an affair, it is an affair you are still having. There goes trust out the window, exclusivity, bonding, etc. You may not think its worth ending a marriage, but your partner may indeed feel this way. Make your choice, but know that you will have to accept and deal with the consequences.

This is a question most of us will never understand. People who have affairs are willing to destroy their spouse's faith and trust. They're willing to completely destroy their families and hurt and devastate people they claim to love. It's impossible to really understand someone like this. Something is missing in them.
