  • Would you shop at a place that only accepted credit or debit for payment?

There are some places that refuse to accept credit and debit and opt to only accept cash or check. So, what about the opposite? Do you know of any places that only accept credit or debit?

  • My dog threw up 10 times today after giving him K9 Advantix?

We washed it off with Dawn dish soap as advised in other blogs. He ate again and has not thrown up again yet. Called the vet, they don't think it has anything to do with the K9 Advantix. Have an appointment at 2:30. Wondering what others think of this? If he doesn't throw up anymore, do you think we could cancel the trip to the vet? He was just treated by the same vet for a parasite and was just at the vet 2 days ago, they said he was doing fine and didn't need anymore meds for the parasite. He did not throw up at all until I gave him the Advantix and has not thrown up since we washed it off.

  • If I think my company can dispute that I was at work when I was injured?

I travel for work. Since I don't have a physical place that I go to work and work in the field, I'm thinking that my employer could dispute that I was working when I injured myself because I was walking to my car after performing my job when it happened. I did still have my equipment in my hands. I do not drive a company vehicle. I'm thinking that since I have accident and disability insurance that I should avoid the hassle and just go that route. Is there a really good reason not to that anyone can think of?

  • If the lease says 45 days for tenant or landlord to notify if you want to renew the lease?

The lease says 45 notice must be given if we want to renew the lease. We notified our landlord in the correct time frame that we wanted to be long term renters. Of course this is one of those property management firms, we sent many e-mails and made many phone calls since our first written notification that we wanted to renew. All unanswered. Now, 7 days before the lease is up, they say they only want to renew for 6 months or month to month and they want an extra $50 dollars per month. Shouldn't this have been decided 45 days ago, actually longer, when we gave written notification that we wanted to renew?

  • Can my employer make me transport a gas cylinder in my vehicle?

Safety aside, I know it is not safe. My job requires a mixture of 60/40 hydrogen/nitrogen to operate equipment. This is traveling all across the U.S. I drive my own personal vehicle. I have not been trained in transportation handling of the "mother tank", we also carry 5 or 6 smaller cylinders that hold about 1100p.s.i. each. The only training I received was filling the small cylinders from the mother tank. Other than safety, are there any laws, rules, or regulations that I should have been trained? I've called OSHA and am on hold with the federal DOT. Only thing I've found online is for transportation of large quantities and general safety guidelines.

  • Should I report this to OSHA?

I work for a company that is contracted by utility companies to inspect the lines. We are required to wear reflective clothing and hard hats, my company is very safety conscious. The people that work for the company that hired my company don't. Long story short, I was expected to walk down a very steep hill, close to mountainous, it was so steep I couldn't stay on my feet and ended up sitting and sliding because I thought it was safer. Anyway, I think that I should have had a safety harness. I sent a picture of the area to my immediate boss informing him that I would require a safety harness from now on. Should I report to OSHA if I'm refused safety equipment?

  • What is a rental rating?

I wanted to rent a house, filled out the rental application, talked to the landlord, yadda yadda. I told him out front of all blemishes that might appear on my credit. Landlord said I only got a 53% rental rating and need a 60% or better. This is before collecting an application fee. I have looked online and haven't found anything on rental ratings. Anyone know what he may have ran on me? Sounds really fishy to me. I have rented the last 2 years without any problems, prior to that I owned homes that were lost to the market crash and nasty divorce. This is in North Carolina. And NOW he wants the application fee?

  • Why would my employer want a W-9 from the hotel they pay for me to stay at?

This hotel is giving my employer an excellent rate and set up direct billing for them. Now all the sudden my company wants a W-9 from the hotel. I've looked into what a W-9 is, it just seems to methat it does not apply to this situation. I am an employee, my employer is the contractor.

  • My employer wants me to stay at a flea bag motel?

I am a female in my 40's and have to travel for my job. My employer only wants to pay $50 per night for a room. That's basically a fleabag motel. I was in one in which there were hookers in the next room and one of their johns came knocking on my door. I was moved to another hotel which is much nicer, but now there is supposedly a problem that the hotel doesn't want to send our corporate office some paperwork, and yadda yadda. I will not stay at a hotel I do not feel safe at. Anyone have any advice on how to handle this situation?

  • What kind of lawyer should I look for?

In the United States, more specifically Indiana and North Carolina. The law suit would be for loss of ability to work due to severe emotional distress caused by multiple employers and insurance companies.

  • Why is it so hard to find good dependable workers?

You post ads on job sites, do interviews, people say they really need work, but when it comes down to actually showing up and doing the job, they are no where to be found?!? It's not a hard job, but, is outdoors. Like any other job you will have some long days and some not. The starting pay is decent, it's a strong growing company with lots of opportunity. But, can't find people that will work. Why?

  • My 13 yr old daughter is clingy?

Not sure if this is a problem or not. My 13 yr old daughter has gotten more clingy lately. When she was younger I basically had to have a death grip on her hand/wrist or something to make sure she didn't go running off when out in public shopping and stuff. Now she's the one grabbing my hand, which is nice, but, I see strange looks on peoples faces when they see us holding hands walking through the mall or store. Should I try to gently tell her that she needs to wean off the hand holding a little bit? I'm just afraid she'll get teased if someone from school notices or something. We already went through one year of bullying. I'd really rather not give kids the opportunity to bully more.

  • Please define "business dress" ?

I'm in Raleigh, NC. For the last 20 so years I've had to wear the khaki and polo. Now I'm told I need to be in "business dress" attire. I'm so lost, especially when it comes to shoes. I can't wear heels and need a whole shoe, not some little flimsy thing. Are dress boots ok these days? Also don't do dresses or skirts, does that mean I will neat a suit jacket? Or can I get by with just dress slacks and a top?
